Some People Need Help

New Orleans resident Mark Morice is credited with having rescued over
200 people from the flood immediately following Hurricane Katrina,
using an idle boat he comandeered. The owner of that boat is now suing
Morice for using the craft to save fellow citizens’ lives “without
receiving permission,” and claims “grief, mental anguish, embarrassment
and suffering . . . due to the removal of the boat.” It seems no good
deed goes un-sued:

On a fine summers afternoon there are many things to do. Or are there? For as any resident of Durham knows, what the city has in historic charm is ruled by the sun, i.e. if it’s down, there is stuff going on, if it’s up, you’ve got church to go to.

So it was that with the sun being up, we decided to visit our church : the church of retail. This would normally involve going to the retail worlds Notre-Dame, Tesco. However due to reasons that will remain undisclosed, this haven off capitalism was off limits. This led to a somewhat unpredictable visit to the urban chapel that is ALDI.

Now, there would usually be no reason to visit said hell hole, but as with many human adventures, we were driven by one thing: curiosity. In this case, as you shall see, curiosity didn’t kill the cat, it fucking maimed it.

all hail the MC ARABIA burger from the king of capitalism. McDonald’s.

i dont know why but i just couldnt believe it when i heard this existed so did some research on the net. it exists and seems to be a normal burger wrapped in pitta to make it oh so plainly Arabic! found this news piece on net

JEDDAH, 5 March 2003 — In a bid to salvage its business
interest in the Middle East, McDonald’s has introduced a new
sandwich for the Arab consumer: McArabia.

The new sandwich,
which continues MacDonald’s tradition of catering to local
markets, is made of Arab bread, grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes and
Arab sauce.

In a year which, according to a McDonald’s
representative who spoke to Arab News, saw a sharp fall in the
company’s profits and the laying off of workers including many
Saudis, the once undisputed fast food king is working hard on catering
to a market that is looking for alternatives to US products in the
current international political climate.

ironically, the main ingredients that make up the new McArabia are of
international origin. The Arab bread for the sandwich is imported from
Britain. The chicken is currently being imported from Malaysia.

unbelivable. firstly there actaully referd to as ARAB BREAD and ARAB SAUCE. secondly there made in malasia and britan alike. authentic arabic food.

The laganas strip was generally the scar on the face of zante but like most scars it had a certain appeal. neil however took a more critical view than most of the strip. proclaiming that a illuminated crane above a club was sacrilegious as it resembled a crucifix. watch on for hard hitting neil nesbit opinions

ahhh its very immature but my god it made me laugh.neil (el capitaino sensible) poured himself a lovely bottle of water before setting out on the razzle then left it by his bed so when he got in it was at his side. This was a perfect plan until he went to the bog and my sad drink molested mind thought it would be funny to hide his dearest possession. Anyway.

What i love about this the most is the fact that after impact it takes him precisely one BILLIONTH of a second to get up and sling abuse. THIS MAN FEELS NO PAIN!
